The Process

Send through your details and requirements via our contact page.
Consultation
An initial consultation to fully understand your needs via video conference, phone or email.
Quote
Using your details from the stationery enquiry form and/or our consultation I’ll provide a quote usually within a week.
Design
Once the quote is agreed, 50% deposit paid and the terms & conditions sent. I will start with initial sketches to make sure the concept is spot on. Then the detailed work begins. Digital proofs are sent along the way. A collaborative process.
When the print proof is approved, final payment is made the suite is sent to print as well as any extra elements made or ordered.
Delivery
Allow up to 2-3 weeks for print and delivery depending on if assembly is required.
Booking Timeframe
Reach out 5 months before you wish to receive/send out your stationery. It’s ok if you don’t have all the details just yet.

When do I need to get in touch to book design time?
Reaching out around 5 months or more before you wish to receive/send out your stationery is advised. I book projects in at least 3 months in advance of a project start then allowing on average up to 8 weeks for a projects duration.
When do I need to order my save the dates?
Traditionally send out is anything from 12-18 months before your wedding, everyone is different and can depend if destination or local. So work back from send out with my booking and production times. (see above).
When do I need to order my Wedding invitations?
Traditionally invitations are sent 3-6 months before your wedding, or up to a year before if no save the dates are sent. Everyone is different and it can depend if your event is destination or local. So work back from the desired send out with my booking and production times. (see above).
How long is the design process from booking to invite in hand?
It varies from 3-12 weeks depending on detail, your promptness in communication and the level of work involved.
Postage - How do you send orders?
All orders are sent tracked and signed, usually couriered next day where possible. Small samples are sent Royal Mail 1st class.
What is hot foiling?
Hot foiling is when a metal plate is created with a bespoke design, pressed onto card with heat and foil sheet leaving an indented shiny metallic effect.
On average how much do couples invest in stationery?
On average couples invest between £1500 and £4000 in illustration, design and printed stationery with Aimee Willow Designs.

Which is the most cost effective option if my budget doesn’t allow for specialised finishes?
I offer a lot of digital only services. So if you wish the uniqueness of illustrations, but not the full design and print investment. I can supply a venue illustration, map or timeline for you to print yourself or add to a wedding website.
What deposit do you take?
Typically 50% deposit is required to book your design time, the remainder is due before final project handover or print.
