Destination wedding stationery has become a large part of my work over the past few years. Destination Weddings are becoming very popular for engaged couples. Usually somewhere that has a specific significance to the couple or simply a dream destination. Destination wedding stationery can take on many different forms – from a unique ticket concept to fully illustrated folded designs. Simple or complex designs both work well.
I love to incorporate wedding venues into the illustrations for destination wedding stationery – as it really does transport the guests into the exiting celebrations to come. Adding elements of the countries heritage when designing destination wedding stationery is also a effective way of creating a exciting buzz with guests. All artwork is then keepsakes for years to come for wedding guests, the wedding party and the couple themselves of course. I love to draw inspiration from colours, shapes, foliage and food.
Maps and itineraries can be especially important when planning your wedding stationery. Airports, Venues and accommodation can all be highlighted on the wedding map. Wedding timelines can ensure the guests know whats happening regarding the day or weekend. Ie. when’s the food!!! 🙂
Wedding logos or Wedding Monograms can be a great asset. They are so versatile and can be used on anything relating to the wedding before or on the day and into future.
